Lose Weight

New DocumentLose Weight 37

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you are overweight and your spouse loves you does it matter if you need to lose weight? Yes and No.

Yes it does matter that you need to lose weight. If you are overweight you can shorten your life span by seven years. Those seven years could have been spent with your spouse doing so many different things, like travelling, working a home business together, attending children and grand children's birthdays and other events in their lives. But no you were selfish and said I do not want to lose weight, I'll be right. Well you may be but statistically the law of averages says that you will miss out on those possible events above seven years before you need to.

Here are a few quick weight loss tips to help you lose weight and enjoy those seven extra years.

1. Eat less. It does not matter if your diet is terrible if you eat less you will lose weight. Change the diet to healthier food and you will lose more weight.

2. Walk a mile a day. A mile you think is a long way. It is not really a long way. The top athletes can run a mile in less than four minutes. So if you are eight times as slow you can do the mile in about 30 minutes. Do that every day and you will not only lose some weight but your heart rate will improve as well. It is a double whammy. You lose a bit of weight, your heart rate improves, you walk faster you lose more weight you get healthier.

3. Eat more fruit. Fruit provides anti oxidants that fight off the free radicals that accumulate when eating too much junk food.

4. Use or buy smaller dinner plates. Eating smaller helpings can only help you lose weight.

5.Every time you get in the car to drive somewhere think can I walk the half mile or even mile? Years ago my grandfather walked 20 miles to the hospital to have his broken arm attended to and then he walked back home again another 20 miles. We as a society have gotten out of the habit of walking.

No it does not matter if you do not lose weight because your spouse loves you for who you are, not what you look like. That is true. We cannot argue with that. However the fact that you are reading this suggests that you really care about your spouse so he or she will be really pleased if you do lose weight for their benefit.
