There are many success stories and testimonials flowing out of the MLM/ Network Marketing Industry. But, for some reason the majority of people, and possibly even you, can not seem to make it with a home based business. Why is that?
One of the biggest problems is that people get blinded by the potential of making money from home, and all the things they would be able to do with that new found money, and they forget to think about what is involved in creating a successful wealth building business. This can be an easy oversight though, since you never hear how these people made it in these success stories, only that they did make it. This is why I don't even listen to testimonials because they can be very deceiving. Everyone likes to here a good story that makes them feel good! These testimonials are made to play off of your emotions, so they will cause you to make quick, irrational decisions.
The truth of the matter is that you are going to have to attract customers and prospects to your business opportunity and products. No one is going to do it for you. These MLM companies will offer you free "training" to get you headed in the right direction, but the techniques taught are not very effective. The lack of success creates frustration with new business affiliates when the promises of quick, easy money is not fulfilled.
MLM Success...Is it real?
What are your expectations of "success" with your MLM business? How many new customers, or prospects do you want to bring to your business in a month? a week? a day?
Let me shed some light on "success" in the mlm industry. If you are an Independent Business Owner (IBO) and you bring in 5 business affiliates, and/or 5-8 customers every six months to a year, then you are a success in the MLM community! In fact, you are a dynamo! However, you will not feel like you are because at that rate your earnings will look like nothing. And if you are implementing all the techniques that your company is telling you to do (which most do not), you will be working very hard, and spending lots of money for small, mediocre results.
Most business affiliates start to rely on the practice of buying mlm leads from unethical lead generation companies. If you do this you will soon discover that you have to waste a lot of precious time on the phone with uninterested people before you find one that might be interested in your opportunity, or products. This is not effective, nor time efficeint! In fact, do not even bother with buying leads because the lead generation companies that sell you those, "hot", "fresh" leads sell the same leads over and over again to hundreds of people. Not to mention, if you contact these poor leads, then you are actually spamming them because they have expressed no interest in your opportunity at all. Just because you paid for them does not make it right for you to bother these poor people. Do not put your trust and the future of your home business into the hands of these MLM Lead Generation Companies!
The best mlm lead generation you can invest in, is the lead generation that you do yourself!
People can make a "full-time" income from home by implementing techniques the mlm companies provide in their "training", however, most people can not successfully build a business from them. But, there is an alternative.
MLM companies tend to put a lot of emphasis on selling the business opportunity to people rather than selling the products they offer. Probably because there is a bigger compensation up front for bringing someone into the business. But, this is a big mistake. True wealth building comes from the ongoing-consumption of products from the customers on multiple levels. This is where multi-level marketing gets its name because you earn money from multiple tiers.
In a traditional MLM company, a business affiliate not only has to attract customers to their business, but they have to find a way to keep them coming back for more. There are many ways to do this. For instance, you can send out a weekly newsletter, or you can set up autoreponders that will contact your customers on a weekly, bi-weekly basis. The more you are involved in your customers lives, the more respect and trust you will gain from them. But, all this for most people is really hard to keep up with. Most are not willing to even put in the work required to keep their customers!

This competely eliminates the MLM failure rate because you can still use techniques to attract customers to you (which I strongly suggest), but you will always be able to aquire (buy) customers every month whether your marketing efforts are successful, or not!
